Arriving to Buenos Aires

The city of Buenos Aires has two airports: Ezeiza (Ministro Pistarini), which operates most of the international flights, and Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, mainly used for local flights.
You can use Taxi Ezeiza for the transfer from Ezeiza Airport to hotels in downtown. The travel time between Ezeiza and the city center: 1 hour.

Activities you can do in Buenos Aires

  • Visit the Teatro Colón (Colon Theatre), one of the best opera houses in the world. It offers a wide variety of performances every day, at different prices, some are for free. Guided visits inside the theater are also offered in different languages. See http://www.teatrocolon.org.ar

  • Get to know the Mercado de Pulgas (Flea Market) and the Feria de San Telmo (San Telmo Fair). Every Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Address: Plaza Dorrego and Defensa Street (between Av. Belgrano and Av. San Juan), San Telmo. Free.

  • Visit the Ateneo Grand Splendid Library, chosen among the three most beautiful bookstores in the world. Address: Av Santa Fe 1860. Hours: Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 10 pm. Friday and Saturday from 9 am to midnight. Sundays from noon to 10 pm. Free.

  • Visit the Cementerio de Recoleta (Recoleta Cemetery), a truly open-air museum. Address: Junín 1760. Hours: daily from 8 am to 6 pm. Free.

  • Feria Artesanal de Recoleta (Recoleta Craft Fair), offering some of the best crafts in the city made with leather, silver, wood... Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11 am to 8 pm. Free.

  • Guided tour of the Museo de la Pasión Boquense y Estadio de Boca Juniors (Boca Juniors Museum and Stadium). Address: Brandsen 805, La Boca. Tel: +54 11 4362-1100. Hours: Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Important: on match days the Museum and Stadium Tour hours change.

  • Visit the Casa Rosada (House Government) and the Galería de los Patriotas Latinoamericanos (Latin American Patriots Gallery). Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. Free.

  • Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (National Museum of Fine Arts). Address: Av. Libertador 1473, Recoleta. Hours: Tuesday to Friday from 12:30 to 8.30 pm. Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm (entrance allow until 8 pm). Closed on Mondays.

  • MALBA (Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires). Address: Av. Figueroa Alcorta 3415, Palermo. Hours: Thursdays through Mondays and holidays from 12 to 8 pm. Wednesday until 9 pm. Closed on Tuesday.

  • Museo Nacional de Arte Decorativo (National Museum of Decorative Arts). Address: Av. del Libertador 1902. Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 2 pm to 7 pm. Closed on Mondays.

  • Museo Evita. Address: Lafinur 2988, Palermo. Hours: Tuesday to Sunday 11 am to 7 pm.

  • Museo de la Deuda Externa (Museum of Foreign Debt). Address: Joseph E. Uriburu 781, 1st Floor, Faculty of Economics, University of Buenos Aires. Hours: Monday to Friday from 11 am to 7 pm.

  • Museo del Bicentenario (Bicentenary Museum). Address: Paseo Colón 100 (one block from the Casa Rosada). Hours: Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Free. http://www.museobicentenario.gob.ar/
